AMONG SINGAPOREAN STUDENTS

in asia

International student mobility (ISM) refers to the phenomenon where students pursue higher education outside their countries of citizenship. Worldwide, there were 6.4 million internationally mobile students in tertiary education as of 2021.

This website focuses on Short-Term Educational Mobility Programmes (STEMPs), namely, a programme of relatively short duration not amounting to full-degree studies, such exchange studies, summer/winter programmes, study/experiential trips, university-organized overseas internships, etc.

Asia plays a significant role in the global ISM landscape, with more than half of the world’s international students hailing from this region.
